Dukan Diet Review– Why It is Much Talk About
People who have been in continuing struggle to control their weight and live a healthy lifestyle have seen many diet strategies come and go. Now a rather new diet plan has been creating much talk. This is the Dukan diet developed by a French physician and nutritionist Dr. Pierre Dukan. This dukan diet review will look into the basics of this diet plan and how it primarily works. Basically this diet is classified as a high protein low in carbohydrates and fats. There are four stages in this strategy which are the Attack stage, Cruise stage, Consolidation stage and Stabilization stage. The first stage is strictly limited to lean proteins like egg whites, turkey breast, chicken, steak, fish and yogurt. Drinking a lot of water is also recommended. The dieter is expected to lose weight rapidly in 2-7 days. Following this is the Cruise stage where the goal is to reach the person’s ideal weight. Food like vegetables, cereals, and fruits are now allowed. After this is the Consolidation stage designed to stabilize the weight and the body’s metabolism to adjust. The last stage is the Stabilization phase which gives the dieter the strategy to maintain the ideal weight he attained.
